Green's Blue Flame Gas Company has been under continuous ownership and operation by the Houston Green family since its founding in 1967. Serving Harris, Waller and Montgomery Counties, the company is dedicated to providing superior quality and exceptional service in a safe and responsible manner by trained, professional and friendly employees. We are a full-service propane company providing quality propane service to Waller, Hockley, Magnolia, Tomball, Hempstead, Katy, Cypress and Pinehurst.
Propane Industry Involvement
The Green family emphasizes the importance of participating in propane industry associations, including two members serving as president of the Texas Propane Gas Association. The family is an active member of the Propane Council of Texas (PROCOT) and supports the Texas Propane Gas Association Scholarship Foundation. Green's Blue Flame Gas also is a member of the National Propane Gas Association and the Greater Houston Homebuilders Association.
Houston Propane Safety Training
As part of its 40-year history, Green's Blue Flame has taken an active role in community safety programs. In conjunction with the Texas Railroad Commission, the company has trained over 200 firefighters from the Cy-Fair and Tri-County Volunteer Fire Departments in an effort to increase firefighters' propane knowledge. Firefighters receive hands-on experience with propane equipment as well as classroom instruction. The classes include propane safety topics that range from forklift and barbeque cylinders to residential tanks and commercial bulk installations. “These firefighters play a vital role in propane safety in our communities," Joe Green says. "That’s why our company is committed to building a strong relationship with them.”
Houston Area Community Outreach
Green's Blue Flame is taking an active role in the battle against breast cancer by partnering with the American Cancer Society in its fundraising and promotion programs. The company will donate to the charity .01 cent per gallon of all product sold--expected to be about $4,000 annually. As part of the promotion program for breast cancer awareness, a Green's Blue Flame bobtail truck will be painted pink with appropriate trim.
